The New Worpress Blog Editor – No way to get a new line.

    The new wordpress word editor is inadequate when It comes to editing text. I have recently posted a blog item in which a short prayer was used to mark someone’s passing. The prayer was necessarily in the form of four short sentences each on a new line but the editor interpreted tis as each line being a new paragraph and spaced them, incorrectly accordingly I couldn’t find any way around this. The options offered a ‘List’ but this the resulted in bullet points being added. I Don’t Want Bullet Points ! It also ofered a ‘quote’ but the double spacing between lines remained. I don’t want a new paragraph, I want a new line which is a different presentation. Has anyone else found this problem or, better still a solution? Also, if a wordpress programmer is reading this, what about a comment from you?

    Hi there!

    I can understand there is a bit of a learning curve with the new editor. You’ll love it once you get the hang of it.

    To get a new line press Enter + Shift together on the keyboard.
    If you just press Enter, it will create a new paragraph block but pressing both the keys together will do the magic.

    Uhm… it’s a pre alpha at best… piece of crap crashed twice and lost all data… back to classic… wasted my time.
