The number in the Facebook "share box"
-
There is a “10” in the Facebook “share box” on the bottom of a post I wrote earlier today. I personally shared the post twice, on two different Facebook group pages. Does the “10” mean that eight other people shared the post on their pages? If so, is there a stat counter program that can tell me who they are so I can thank them?
This is the post: http://kevinmckague.wordpress.com/2013/09/22/the-12th-annual-tour-de-troit-bike-ride-6000-cyclists-strong/
Thanks!

That information is not made available to WordPress.com. It’s a privacy issue.
Also if you don’t mind me saying so I have a heavy email load – we all do in this age of information overwhelm. If the information was available I would not appreciate anyone emailing me to thank me for sharing a link to their post. In fact, I would stop sharing posts in the blog so I did not get the unwanted email.
