The old delete a follower chestnut
-
I have a private blog :- people who want to read it have to ask me and I approve them.
One such approved follower has now turned out to be someone that I don’t want to read the blog – It seems from reading the forums and guides, google et that there is no way to remove this follower.
I don’t care about restricting their comments – I don’t want them reading the blog. Is my only recourse to delete the blog and start a new one, asking all the previous subscribers to re-apply for the new one?
Seems like a shortfall of the system – subscribers/followers can be allowed to see a private blog in error and no way to back out that error :/
I am hoping that someone can let me know I am mistaken :)
I know that if I had the WordPress installed locally, I could do it by ‘tinkering’ with the database … but its not, it’s hosted.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Where are you getting your information? You are very much incorrect.
Go to Dashboard->Users and simply delete the person you don’t want reading the blog. Easy.

I think my terminology is off then.
If I go to dashboard, users – I see Administrator and that user alone.
I can only see the people following under Dashboard, Site Stats, Followers (blog)

As you have a “private” blog please see here for the answer > Blog Privacy and Subscribers > http://wpcommaven.wordpress.com/2011/09/05/blog-privacy-and-subscribers/
