Ah, all you need is a domain upgrade then you’ll get name.com and your underlying wordpress.com site can be anything you want.

Hi Theradiocrytic:
I’m not sure that’s true given what I saw on the screen and learned from yesterday’s efforts.
Would have been helpful if that were explicit from the git go. While surfing to solve the problem it seems I was not alone in tripping up on this point.
But all’s well. Presumably…
Thanks

Yeah, the signup process is a little strange, I noticed that when signing up for allpopulargenresconsiddered.wordpress.com.

Tried to establish my first choice of a domain name with the first effort. But that ended up a mess so I ended up with my second choice. Still imagine that my first choice is available… Is there anyway to go back and capture that first choice?

Hi @healthcaredenied, if you add a custom domain to that (and make that domain primary) your readers won’t see the wordpress.com-based address anyway.
If you want to change your base address too, let us know. We can help with that.

Love the Supernovia name…
Would love to have healthcaredenied.com. And thought I had it couple times until I got knotted up on the start. Have no proof, but feel that that domain name is not being used still/is still available. Is there anyway to check if it is available… an then use it as a primary?
Which leads to a second question: Is there anyway to run two name.com sites simultaneously as primary…?
Big thanks

Thanks!
Would love to have healthcaredenied.com.
So that does not appear to be available: it’s been registered since 2009. If you’re the original owner, though, and you can control its settings, we’d be happy to help you map it to your site.
About healthcaredenied.wordpress.com — that is indeed available, only to you, though, since it’s your username. You can get it here:
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?new=healthcaredenied.wordpress.com

– You can have two separate sites, each with its own primary domain.
Or
– You can have one site with two custom domains on it. Only one of those domains could be primary
Which option are you hoping to use?
