the payment system fails

  Please help me reinstall, renew my site. I got a message it expired, but when trying to pay for it and renew the payment through paypal or even with my credit card, it was simply refused.. I am stuck!!

  I am referring to: Iluminosa.nl
  and the reply I get when trying to pay is:”This subscription was originally purchased by another user. Please ask the subscription owner to renew the subscription.”

  Hi there,

  The person who purchased the domain name is the only person who can log in to renew that domain.
  In order to renew the domain, you need to become the website owner and transfer the domain name to you, so you own it and can renew it yourself.

  Is it possible that you bought it with another username/email address, or that someone else had bought it in your behalf?

  I looked at this part: where I could look up my “role”.

  titiahh Bewerken Titia Hennemann (email visible only to moderators and staff) Beheerder
  Beheerder is the “highest” in rank, other than the words: writer/author/redactor… I cannot find the word owner or purchaser
  Is there another place where i could change this?

  If you are the Administrator, you should be able to renew the domain.

  You can check your status on Dashboard>Users>All Users

  Let me know what you see from there!

  this is indeed the place I went to,I can see I am the administrator. Perhaps it is that above me, is my husband, with his blog, also being administrator? is may be the location that determines the role as well?

  If you husband had done the purchase/renewal for you this is possible.
  Worth asking him, and if you’re still confused just tag this thread with ‘modlook’ to request Staff attention. They can look inside your account and provide more details about your situation :)

  One of the other admins on your site made these purchases, so they will need to renew them.
