Sorry, please see title above. Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

But… ?
Do you want to provide a download link to your readers?
https://en.support.wordpress.com/uploading-documents/Do you want to embed the PDF file in your blog site for visitors to read and download? https://en.support.wordpress.com/scribd/
If you need more help with this or I didn’t correctly guess what you need, please let us know with more details.

Thanks for your reply. I have been using the blog since Januray 2013 and have posted around 1500 posts, all of them pdf documents. I have never had any problems until now. I download the document, open the new post page, Click Add Media, click upload files, go to the download and click it. When it shows that it has been added I then click on ‘Insert into post’.
From that point on, back on the post, instead of showing the media in blue it is black. Totally different than before! When doing a sample post it tells me that the document is not found!
I am not doing anything different and I dont want to use anything like scribd or whatever as I am not very computer savvy and this has been working very well for me!
Any suggestions very much appreciated as I have a backlog of posts waiting.
Is it because I am using a free blog….havent paid to upgrade?? I see we dont get help from wordpress themselves until all the ‘payers’ have been helped! -
If you’ve been following the directions as mentioned in the first Support document I linked to, and the link to the media file isn’t being created when you insert it into the post, please add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of this forum thread for Staff assistance.
This has nothing to do with being a free site or one with paid upgrades. Anyone who needs help from Staff in the forums can receive it by adding that tag to their thread.
Best wishes.

Thanks, I added the tag.
I only reiterated what it says about support when I read it! Who knows. -

For anyone experiencing this issue, can you upload and add a PDF to a draft page/post, save it, and post the link here? I’m happy to investigate.
-
@cctrafalgar I couldnt access your link as it said I needed to be logged in but I guess it was intended for chrisrudzki and not me????
-
@chrisrudzki……when the post is saved how/where do I find the link??? I dont want to publish it.

For the time being, can you try the instructions given by draspas8391 in this thread:

Thanks for the advice. While working through how to follow the link that you gave I noticed that the Attachment Display setting had somehow be changed to None rather than media. That sorted it. Thanks.

My PDFs worked fine until just last Friday. The files are not opening now and no changes have been made to the files or attachment display settings. I will create a new page to post here, but my blog is protected so please advise on how to accommodate MODLOOK.

Click to access tour-information.pdf
Please advise on what I need to do as the instructions above have not solved the problem.

The error message states (with an “I” in a circle):
Couldn’t open PDF
Something’s keeping this pdf from opening.
Go back to last page -
I’m able to view that PDF just fine. Where exactly are you seeing that error message?
I will create a new page to post here, but my blog is protected so please advise on how to accommodate MODLOOK.
You can just give me a link to the private post. Staff can access it for troubleshooting purposes, so I’ll be able to look into this further for you.
