I’ve had this happen to me before. Try deleting your cookies in your browser and refreshing the browser. Now look in your draft folder. You should see it there. Hit publish.

Hi- thank you,
But i) I’m not on that machine just at the moment :( and
ii) could you direct me toward where my ‘draft’ folder is please, because I was looking for it remembering that drafts kept being saved…could not find it and that’s how I ended up down this road.
cheers again

Dashboard > Posts > All Posts (Drafts)
http://pthredux.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=post
hover over the title and click EditIf the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.

See also if applicable > restoring from trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash(If you are referring to a Page then see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/)
I recommend:
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
Always allow pages to fully load before clicking any other links.
Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/ -
To find your draft files, go to your Dashboard and click on Posts. That will bring you to a list of all your posts, including any draft/saved posts. If your post is listed there, click on the title to open it. Once it’s open, you can edit it or publish it.
If you just want your drafts, open your Dashboard and look for “Quick Drafts.” If you don’t see it, look to the top right for “Screen Options.” Click on that and you should see several check boxes. Click on “Quick Drafts.” If your post is still in drafts, it will now be listed in that new box. Click on the title to open the post. From there you can continue to edit, or publish the post.

No, please- thank you both very much you’re equally wonderful for trying to help and both in such a clear and easy-to-follow fashion! *smile*
I did as you suggested and found the post first via the posts link and then as described.
It also seemed logical that that labelled ‘revisions’ was simply another word for draft.
I’m genuinely trying to remember if there was another WP window open with another new post editor and if this contributed to the error. That said, why then is the SUBJECT BAR correct and as intended, if the content window is simply continuing to contain the same data as in the previous post? Was there some kind of copy-paste error on my own behalf? I don’t remember…
It simply doesn’t add up. Not to mention WP seem to know that my post is supposed to have been uploaded around 2am, and yet the admin data relating to what is on here does not mention time after something like 0115.
Odd odd odd.
Thank you again :)
