The postcounter – how to get rid of it?

  This year WordPress has had a counter as a bar on the left side every time when I have posted a new post. Post number 307. Next goal 310 etc. It is so disturbing and it is taking away the motivation to write. Writing has nothing to do with quantity. I would like to get rid of this utterly annoying feature and I wish to know how to do it …

  It’s for the newbie bloggers who need emotional support ie. blog nannying. Not to worry though as you can disable the nanny. Go to Users > Personal Settings and disable “Instant Post Feedback”.
