It used to be that at wordpress.com I had a blogstream of blogs I follow, but now its full of random other blogs I don’t follow. What happened and can I get my blogs back?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Only blogs you follow should appear in the Reader at https://wordpress.com/. Can you give me some examples of blogs showing up there that you don’t follow? I’d like to investigate that.

To manage what blogs appear there, you can click the cog icon next to “Blogs I Follow” at the top of the sidebar on that page. That will take you to the Edit Blogs I Follow screen, where you can add or remove blogs from your Reader.

Hi, thanks for your reply. On the top of my blogstream is RGS Computing, The News Today, Beauty-full Dreams, Fox2Now.com. None of these are blogs I follow, as is clear because there is a “follow” button on them, whereas the ones I follow say “Following”. None of these junk blogs show up on the “edit blogs I follow” screen.

    Hi there,

I see what you mean now. You’re seeing posts from those blogs because people whose blogs you do follow are reblogging their posts. For example, you follow the blog https://rennydioknodotcom.wordpress.com/ and there are reblogged posts there from other blogs like RGS Computing and The News Today.

You can identify reblogged posts in the Reader because they include a grey box that tells you that someone “reblogged this on” their blog. If you don’t want to see those posts in your Reader, you can unfollow the blog that’s reblogging those posts.

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that!
