The Real Value of Upgrading?

Greetings,
I am looking to upgrade to a paid website but need to know if it is worth it in terms of gaining increased visibility on the web. If a paid website will help with this, I would like to know which packages work best. Please note that though a little more space would help, it is prominence in terms of helping with business expansion I am looking for rather than a bigger site.
I cannot find an e-mail with which I can communicate directly with WordPress in terms of discussing stats relating to the different packages they offer.

Upgrade plans add additional features to your site, as indicated on the Pricing page:

But all sites on WordPress.com have the same level of SEO – an upgrade won’t suddenly make your site “more visible” to search engines than it already is. Having a custom domain might give you a slight edge in terms of branding and the Business Plan gives you more granular control over SEO settings and access to more advanced analytics so you can see where your traffic comes from. But ultimately your site’s visibility depends on how much you promote it, and the quality of your content.
