Has the red comment pending dot-notification become a thing of the past?
I love that little sucker — felt like xmas or something on the rare occasion that someone was compelled to actually drop a comment. Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you referring to the dot at the “comments” menu tab that informs you there’s something being held in moderation limbo? It’s still working. I had one this morning. Perhaps you’ve changed to un-moderated comments, so unless you intentionally put someone’s name into the moderation filter (settings -> discussion), you won’t see it.

Yes, that one. I’ve tried tweaking the comment options. Still, I’ll only find out I have a comment waiting for moderation by looking at the comment line-up, i.e. no red dot.

Works for me.
If l click on Dashboard, the red dot shows beside the word ‘comment’. When the dashboard changed it’s look, the red dot remained the same, thankgoodness. (l have a lot of buttons on the dashboard page that l have never touched and don’t intend on starting since l have no idea what they do.) -
Still no red dot. Has the red dot gig changed. I baffled. Any help is appreciated.

Not to sound like a broken record, but my beloved RED COMMENT NOTIFICATION DOT has never been seen again, regardless of the certainty that comments were pending. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found that if I have the dashboard toolbar completely collapsed, then there’s no comment dot. One reason I don’t collapse it entirely. On the other hand, the “Right Now” module tells you if you have comments pending or in spam.

I think that’s what it is the collapsed dashboard! That’s what I’ve been using is my right now.

Just a note for those of you unable to sleep due to my (or your) dot-crisis.. the efficacious Rose of support “expanded my left side menu” and budda bing, my dot is back in the game!
