The sample names in the Invite generate an error

The sample names in the Invite New Users apparently cannot be erased, so they generate an error every time! I can provide a screenshot.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

You should be able to click in that box and type in the usernames or email addresses you want to invite. The sample information you see in that box will disappear once you start typing there.

I see you were able to send out invites after posting this message, so it looks like it’s working for you now. If you’re still having trouble with that, please let me know!

Obviously, that is supposed to happen, but it does not. I sent out invite emails twice, and both times the addresses I typed in received invites, but also the error message I sent you appeared.

Sorry, the comment above is from me, Eleanor — I was trying out another login.

    Hi Eleanor,

Did you double-click the “Send Invitation” button when you sent those invites? That might explain the successful invite but also the error message.

Also, have you sent out any invites other that the two you mentioned? I’m curious if it’s happening every time or only under certain circumstances.

Double-click is a possibility, but since the error message says that it sent some successfully, I doubt it. Each of the two sendings I did had three invitees — the same ones, as I had given them the wrong user role — and each one got the error message(s) — I wonder why there are two message each time? Since one invitee reported that she could not complete the transaction since she didn’t have a WordPress account, I haven’t sent any more!

Sorry, I just looked at the error screenshot again, and I see that the two red messages are not the same. My apologies. I appreciate your attention to both of my problems. Have you tried the invite procedure yourself to see if it happens also for you?

    Hi Eleanor,

I tested the invite process and it worked for me without any errors, so I’m not sure why this is happening to you. When you’re ready to invite more people, please try clicking the “Send Invitation” button once and see if that error persists. If it does, that will give me more information to keep investigating this for you. :)
