The Scrawl -theme, inline-block -nastiness with links

    Hi! I don’t understand why .comment-content a, .entry-content a, .comment-respond a:s in this theme are formatted with:

    display: inline-block;

    This causes just nasty unintended line breaks with inline text links. Is there some idea that I just can’t figure out behind this? I would love to use this beautiful, simple and clean theme, but if I can’t get the inline links to work in free plan I have to switch.

  • inline-block just allows padding and margin to be added to inline elements but doesn’t normally cause line breaks.

    It looks like you have some non-breaking spaces which are causing unwanted line breaks, for example here:

    Dropbox 4

    You can find them by using the browser inspector in Chrome. Try switching to HTMl/Text view and removing, then re-adding the space there so you get a regular space instead of a non-breaking space.

    Non-breaking spaces can sometimes be carried over if you paste from other documents.
