What do the subscriber stats refer to?

  I’m asking because of an individual who’ve told me they’ve subscribed successfully, but the name is not listed in the Site Stats.

  The subscriber stats show you all the users that have active email subscriptions to your blog using the built-in email notification system on WordPress.com. They don’t include users that subscribed using a third-party subscription service or using RSS.

  If you want to find out about the specific use but don’t want to share their email publicly, fell free to submit a private support request.
