    The site that I deleted is still up and is showing advertisements. Since it is an academic journal, being linked with betting sponsors is very damaging to our image. The website also continues to have a dot org domain and doesn’t show up as a dot wordpress site. Please let me know what steps I can take to address this.

    We can’t help as that site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform. I don’t see advertisements on your site, only “In partnership with legalbet”

    That domain was removed from wordpress.com on July 19 2023. Once that domain became available, someone bought it on Oct 5 2023 and hosted it in Cloudflare.

    When you let a domain expire or delete a domain, after some time it becomes available to anyone who wants to buy it. There is no way to reclaim an expired or deleted domain.
