The slider fading scrolling effect does not work

  The slider fading scrolling effect does not work even though I follow the instruction given in the ‘setup’. I tried to put in a much smaller icon but the slider still won’t fade. Also, when a blog post is open, I think the iron causes a large blank space in between it and the post title/feature image. These issues go away when there are no icon.

  Also, can you please let us know what steps you followed and give us a link with each of the issues that are happening, explaining what works wrong for each case?

  On desktop setting, you can see the problem on the homepage: https://shawnomics.wordpress.com/
  When you scroll down, the feature content slider does not fade out like it supposed to. First, when I didn’t have a logo icon (the graphic picture of an ‘s’) and just have a title, the slider faded out when scrolling down. But when I put in the ‘s’ icon, it stopped working. I followed these instructions for the Eris theme setup: the instruction on the box that says “Set up the Featured Content Slider”

  The slider has a scrolling effect – it stays put in place and fades to white the more you scroll down. To make sure this effect works, please:
  1. Go to Customizer → Site Title, Tagline, and Logo
  2. Make sure that your Site Logo image is no taller than 90px
  3. Uncheck the “Display Site Title and Tagline” checkbox. (If you are not using a logo image in step 2, feel free to check this box)

  I tried putting in a smaller icon, but still it didn’t work.
  The slider on the homepage isn’t the only issue; it seems like blog posts are affected by the icon too. https://shawnomics.wordpress.com/2017/07/10/rt/ here, you can see a weird large gap between the icon and the title of the blog article. Take out the icon and there is no gap.
