The SOA record is missing. Error when I try to use ns1.wordpress.com etc.

  The SOA record is missing for domain when I try to
  I want to map neuwm.wordpress.com to neuwm.de.

  Basically the same as https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/dns-mapping-soa-problem?replies=3, https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/custom-dns-entries-fail-of-the-zone-check-of-my-registrar?replies=2, etc.

  I’m curious: were there any changes in the last 12 months? Last time, 2011, it worked without issue with a .de domain.
