The Social Icon widget DOESN’T WORK.

    Sat. 02/09/19 @12:17 pm – Good afternoon. I’ve been using WP since Microsoft Live gave Automattic all of its blogs, so don’t question me when I tell you – all of a sudden, my Facebook and Twitter feeds disappeared. No, I wasn’t using your Social Icons yet. I saw it as a substitute for those two, but I cannot make it work.
    Yes, I did it as instructed – through the Customize menu rather than the direct Widgets page. But when I selected ADD AN ICON, it takes me to the instructions page in WP.COM, not to a clickable list of icons to use. This has been going on for a week now, and I have homework. It’s disconcerting for something that was fine to disappear. Did I read on one of the WP sites that FB was changing a policy regarding feeds to external websites? If so, please point me in the right direction to confirm same.
    In the meantime – all 5 of my sites are in deep ‘stuff’ w/no social media links…. Can you help me fix this? And thanks in advance.
