  Hi !

  I don’t know why, but the stats page on my site (royreddy.com) hasn’t opened over the last couple of days. Is there something that I need to do?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello again !

  As you’d suggested, I’ve taken a screenshot of the stubborn page and I’ve added it to my media library. That was a screenshot taken yesterday; the situation is just the same today (even as of a few minutes back).

  I’d be grateful if you could suggest how I can get it to work.

  The page you are on is the stats page, but it’s not fully loading. You said this started a couple of days ago. Did you make any changes to your computer set up around the same time?

  No, I haven’t made any changes at all. No other pages seem to be affected, whether on WordPress or on any of the other sites I use.

  Perhaps I should add – I use Ubuntu. Would that matter?

  Maybe. The more likely culprit is a JavaScript problem. Do you have JavaScript enabled? it’s required to make the stats work.

  Hi Roy. I’ve been researching the trouble that you’re having viewing your stats page.

  If it’s possible, could you send us a screenshot of the page with the console open? This will help us see if there are any errors on the page. In Chrome on Ubuntu, you should be able to open the console by holding Control and Shift and pressing J. Once you’ve taken a screenshot of the console, you can close it by pressing Control+Shift+J again.

  Hi team (since there are now at least 2 of you looking into this!!),

  1. About Java Script – I haven’t done anything about that – I wouldn’t even know how to. I assume, however, it remains enabled, because I’m able to use internet banking, ticketing and retail websites (..?..).

  2. The console – I’ve uploaded 3 screenshots: i) the console as it appears ii) with the lower right corner scrolled down iii) the stats page as it continues to balk!

  Hi team,

  I just noticed (while examining the screenshot ‘console1’) that it carries a notation that “the date 20150508 should be in YYYYMMDD format”. It is, but it’s the wrong date! The date on the laptop, as you can see from the top right hand corner, is Tue May 12.

  I just used the console feature on this (forum) page just now, and there wasn’t any notation about the date.

  Is it possible that this is the problem and the 8th of May is the date since which the problem persists?

  If so, what would you suggest I do?

  Hi team,

  Here’s an update.

  1. I accessed WordPress on another computer that uses Windows (and Chrome), and I got through to the stats page, which opened fully.

  2. I accessed WordPress on this (Ubuntu) laptop, but using an old version of Firefox that I have. It got to the stats page but I got the notation that I couldn’t view the new stats page since Firefox needed upgrading, I could view the old stats page instead.

  So what do you think my Ubuntu+Chrome problem is?

  Hi team,

  Further update – If I get to the stats page from the tab on the top left hand corner of THIS page, I get a page with some limited detail (I took a screenshot) and the invitation to see the old stats page (took a screenshot of that too).

  I’ve uploaded both of them, if it will help you.

  Thanks for your screenshots, they were very helpful. I wasn’t able to actually reproduce the error that you were experiencing, but your screenshot helped me diagnose what might have been going on. We’ve just released a change that we hope addresses the problems you were having viewing the Stats page. Could you give it another try and let me know if you still have issues?
