the timed posts do not work

Hey. Is it just me who has problems with timed posts that are not published when they’re supposed to? They do not publish so far I do not do it manually by moving the entire contents to a new page and then publish directly. It worked fine before.

Typically, scheduled posts are published as soon as someone visits the blog after the scheduled time. It’s a bit backwards from what you’d think, but it prevents wide-spread system abuse, and folks won’t miss your post (since they weren’t looking prior to visiting anyway).
Do you currently have any non-published posts that missed their schedules?

This is an inconvenience when you’re going to be away for a while (particularly w/ no internet access, as peculiar as that may seem these days!) and want to set up a few posts in advance. People who follow the blog via RSS or email subscription don’t trigger the posts. I guess that’s when you ask a friend to please stop by your blog in order to trigger the posts! One of my blogs has sufficient traffic for posts to be triggered, but the other one doesn’t — which is why I’ve stopped scheduling posts, as it seemed kind of pointless. I’d have to go in and manually post the past-due posts, which kept them from being a convenience.
