The 'Top Posts and Pages' widget isn't displaying html tags

    The ‘Top Posts and Pages’ widget isn’t displaying html tags. I’m specifically thinking of italics ( between these types of tags ) in a post name. I find this odd because the ‘Recent Posts’ widget does display the italics, so having the two widgets next to each other looks inconsistent in my sidebar. For example right now in one widget the title of “The Medium at the Arcola Theatre: review for Everything Theatre” correctly has the show title ‘The Medium’ italicized in one widget and surrounded by unsightly tags in the other widget. Any suggestions?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reporting this! I let our developers know about this issue so they can look into it.

    Since the issue is with this particular widget and how it displays post titles with HTML, the only workarounds I can think of for now is to either remove the HTML from your post titles or not use that “Top Posts and Pages” widget. You could take a look at your site’s stats, manually create a list of your top posts, and post them in a Text Widget. I know that’s not an ideal solution, but it’s one way to handle things as long as that widget still has this issue.
