Hi WordPress.
I’m going to be changing my plan soon and it says that I have to pay £3.00 a month but when I go to do it the price swaps to what it will be at the end of the year. So am I paying £36.00 as my first payment or £3.00 as my first payment. Hopefully this makes sense

There are no monthly payment plans at WordPress.com. That monthly figure you see is just a guideline. Upgrades need to be paid for annually in advance. Savings can be made by paying for 2 years in advance though.

So the £36.00 is the first payment and then next year I pay the a same amount of £36.00 and so on?

Yes. Autorenewal is the default so the funds for the following year would be taken approx 11 months after you purchased your upgraded plan (to make sure that any custom domain you’d created didn’t expire and to give a few weeks leeway if there were card/payment issues that needed sorting out.
