    If you are unable to pay for your orders using debit cards (Visa and Rupay), have you tried using credit cards?

    Also, major private banks like ICICI and Citi bank cards work for WordPress.com payments, in India. I have paid for my orders myself with ICICI debit card.

    I am also tagging the post with “modlook” for the WordPress.com staff’s attention.

    The error we are seeing suggests the payment to WordPress.com was blocked by your bank or card provider, so I recommend contacting them for more information.

    Please also check whether international payments are supported on your card as this feature isn’t always enabled by default.

    Thanks for the reply.
    I was using ICICI(VISA) and SBI(rupay) debit cards for the payment. I would love to get support from the WordPress team.

    Hi @advaityaatra!

    As @gemmacevans suggested, I think you should try contacting your bank for more details on this.

    Many times, international payments are blocked by default. I had this experience with ICICI (VISA) card in past and had to get it enabled to international payments. Also, as far as I know, Rupay cards will not work for this.

    So, to fix this please contact your bank.

    I’m unable to contact a card provider on your behalf. You will need to contact them directly so they can discuss the transaction/account details with you.

    @vaidehisingh is correct — RuPay isn’t currently supported but you should be able to pay using ICICI (Visa).
