The twitter shares on all my blog posts have disappeared
-
Hi,
I’ve noticed since today that my twitter shares on every blog has disappeared and it’s showing 0 share on every post. My blog is read widely and I don’t know what happened. I didn’t do any integration or update.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have the same problem. The Twitter count widget stopped working on all my blog posts several days ago.

I’m having the same problem. I thought it was my browser (Firefox) and refreshed several times. But then I saw that it’s happening on all browsers on different computers.
Please restore the Twitter count!

OK, I just saw on another thread on this subject that the fault lies with Twitter itself. They took the decision to remove the tweet count:

It’s a real pity.

Yes I’ve got the same problem… no number at all showing on the Twitter share button below all of my posts. The Facebook stats are fine.

I found this on another forum…looks like it’s a Twitter thing?: https://blog.twitter.com/2015/hard-decisions-for-a-sustainable-platform

Thank you everyone for replying. Good to know that it’s a problem which many of us are facing. Maybe it’s just a temporary error from twitter side.
@timethief I haven’t disconnected the publicize app. All the social media platforms are working except twitter.
@alohaleya twitter has removed the tweet count endpoint. Let’s see what the update it. They are improving the sharing experience along with easily tracking of the url share. Thank you for sharing.I will have to wait and see if twitter update is good or bad news :)
Anyways, you guys love tea? Would love you to check out my blog http://www.loveforteas.com -
Me too – same problem. Always good to find you’re not alone! Thanks to alohaleya for sharing the Twitter article. I don’t really understand it and I wonder if anyone from WordPress could comment or find/suggest a fix? The subject of my most active blog makes the Twitter count the most useful to have.

And one more here. An author who is in academia and needs Twitter shares as part of her portfolio just asked me about this, and now I see they’re gone from all the posts on our blog: http://ajnoffthecharts.com/

Howdy all.
This is something that came from Twitter themselves, I’m afraid. They changed their API and we cannot display the counts any longer.

Thank you all. I guess if we think about it, it’s a smarter move from twitter. It’s ended the social media sharing war. Twitter was working great for my blog and it’s nice to show the activity to the readers. Facebook intentionally puts a minimum reach until the user pays for promotion.
This maybe good. If any of you have a personal blog, please share with me. I would love to check out. I blog at http://www.loveforteas.com
Thank you again :)
