  I can’t put my twitter timeline in the sidebar. Help!

  And what are you putting IN the widget? 100% of the time people are putting in the full code instead of just the number they need.

  I put the 18 digit code where it says Widget ID. And it’s still not appearing. I’m so confused, I’ve been working on trying to figure this out awhile now.

  Ah, I don’t allow for cases where they report it’s not working and it actually is.

  Sidebars are cached, and take up to a half hour to update sometimes.

  Nowhere. That theme does not have a sidebar or footer widget area https://wordpress.com/themes/ryu/ Pick a new theme.

  Ryu has the “sidebar” hidden in the header section. The three icons at the top are menu (hamburger), sidebar/widgets (link), and search (magnifying glass). I see it in the link icon.

  Oh wait, something odd here. It shows up when clicking the Menu icon.

  The timeline does show up in the widget area (hamburger icon), not the social links (links) area, where there is an icon for twitter.

  Alright. So you guys don’t see the widget unless you click the hamburger. And the only reason you guys don’t see in the sidebar is because I have Ryu. correct? Thank You guys!

  FWIW “sidebar” is kind of a generic term for “widget enabled area”. It may not necessarily show up on the side of your site. :)
