The URL I registered with is not the URL I have.

    Hello!

I recently signed up for a new WordPress account. During the account creation phase I put in “weneedmoresynergy.wordpress.com” as what I wanted my blog’s URL to be. The URL was available, so I took it. Then, when I created my blog, my blog’s URL defaulted to “username”.wordpress.com. When I tried to change my blog’s URL back to “weneedmoresynergy.wordpress.com” it said that the URL was now reserved. What’s going on? And how can I recover my original URL?

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

it looks like you created a new account for weneedmoresynergy not a blog – and in the process deleted your original blog address –

I have flagged this for the staff to help

try and log into weneedmoresynergy as a user – there should be a lost password option – did you enter a second email address when you were creating weneedmoresynergy?

    Hi auxclass,

Yeah, I think that’s exactly what happened. However, I’m more or less certain that I put in “weneedmoresynergy” into the URL address space and that at the time I tried that, the blog URL was available. The fact that it’s now unavailable either means something malfunctioned or I’m just extremely unlucky.

I can log into my blog just fine. I changed my username to “danielzli”, it was somehow originally “weneedmoresynergy”. I just don’t understand what happened…

Thanks for the help thus far!

If you really did create “weneedmoresynergy” as an account then that name is reserved for you! When an account is set up a matching blog name is reserved for them – so keep the faith

  • You chose to delete the username weneedmoresynergy when you changed your username to danielzli.

As such, the blog weneedmoresynergy.wordpress.com can no longer be created.
