The user comments are not showing

The comment section is empty. I can’t even pull up my posted comments and reply to people,
I have tried Firefox (may main browser, Crhome and even went back to IE to see if that did anything different.
What can I do differently? -

My site has been operating since December 2007. I have thousands of comments on the various pages. Yet for some reason they all have disappeared! The Discussion settings are the same. Nothing has changed. Just no comments! Please help!

@susanusa-I’m seeing lots of comments on you site on various posts.
Where exactly (what page) is it that you see that comments have disappeared?

@susanusa, I see quite a few comments in the spam folder for those two pages. Some of them seem sincere, but their usernames are things like “healthy living blogs by state” or “diets that work best” with links back to spammy sites.
Many of the other spammed comments are just lists of links to products :(
If you recently checked for spam on your comments, ones like those will now be in your spam folder. I recommend leaving them there, too, since some of the more insidious ones can cause trouble for your website.

68 comments have been approved and they don’t appear.

Supernovia – the issue is that the comments don’t show on the page. At first they weren’t showing on the home page, and then mysteriously appeared. They are still not showing on the Food List page.
They are all on the backend. But they do not show up on the page itself. I have upate the page. I have look at it on various browsers. Still the same problem.

Update: While the page said there were no comments – and there literally were thousands of previous comments – I decided to leave a comment on the page. When I did, all the other comments showed up on the page.
I believe this issue is solved for me. Clearly a glitch, but I was able to figure out how to fix it.

@nati3873 and @susanusa- I understand your frustration and am sorry this is happening.
This thread is marked again for Staff attention, but the weekend is normally slower on Staff replies. Please be patient and when and where possible, please take screenshots of what you are seeing and upload them to your Media Library. Unfortunately the Google cache of @nati3873’s above post is from today and does not show any comments at all.
