The video widget on the side bar will not accept a Youtube video

  Hi
  My blog site is smuleindiablog.wordpress.com
  I had been using the youtube videos on my side to display videos on my sidebar and from yesterday onwards when i try to embed a youtube video it will say the video format not accepted. yet the error itself is contradictory since the videos streaming on youtube is suggested. Please need some help Can some one help solve the problem?

  The video widget on your site’s sidebar appear to be working normally to me. What is the Youtube link that you’re trying to add to the widget?

  an example here
  i always had it embedded like as you say
  but what is going on from this last weekend
  thanks for writing back

  Sorry, we can’t load the video at the supplied URL. Please check that the URL is for a supported video file (.mp4, .m4v, .webm, .ogv, .flv) or stream (e.g. YouTube and Vimeo)

  when i just tried this is the error came up

  Hi there,

  There’s currently a bug with that widget and we’re working on fixing it.

  As an alternative, you can use a text widget in place of the video widget. Go to the Customizer add a new Text widget and paste the YouTube link into the text field of the widget. Your video will be embedded and it should be displayed in your sidebar.

  Hi Guys
  It was such great help each time i asked for help
  text embed allowed more videos in a single paste
  that is beautiful i never thought it will take videos
  but it would be great if you can let me know when this is fixed
  i have a set of widgets down that is also stuck and can not swap any videos

  Just an update that this should be fixed now, so you should again be able to add a Youtube video to the video widget itself.
