The website link to my profile name cannot be updated! Help!

We have a class blogging project and I need to change the profile URL so that my classmates could easily link to my academic blog when I comment to them. The old URL I put in the “Website” space of the “Account Details” section links to a WordPress blog I deleted. I repeatedly changed the URL but it just won’t update. I even changed my username hoping that it would be the solution but it made no difference! Now I want my username back as well.
I need an immediate solution to this!

If you changed username, then you cannot get the old one back: http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/ (second paragraph).
If you changed only your “display name” then you can set it to whatever you want in your profile.
First though, log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again to change the website link.

I already cleared the browser cache and cookies, restarted, and changed the link thirty minutes ago. It still did not work.
Should I contact a moderator about this?

Allow me this “stupid” question, you are clicking “update profile” after making the change, correct?
If so, contact support directly at http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ . Do know that they are really busy right now, so it might be a day or two before they get back to you.

Yes, I click it in every single attempt.
I do hope contacting them will make a difference. I will not close this topic until they respond to me.
