the word 'Edit' on my pages

My website shows the word ‘Edit’ on every page. How do i get rid of it?

orry but you are in the wrong place.
These forums are only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.comWordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
And you should ask in the WordPress.org forums.
http://wordpress.org/support/If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you’ll need to register one there.

P.S.: BTW, only you can see the word Edit on your blog/site.

I checked your site. It is not hosted on WordPress.com, your domain http://www.edgeinteriorsaustin.com/ points to domaincontrol.com. Based on this info, I assume you are WordPress.org user.
This forum is dedicated to WordPress.com.
To know more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, check this link : https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/Also I don’t see any ‘Edit’ word on your site. There is a possibility that you see it because you are in Customising mode.

Thanks for the input. i’ll check go to the right site. good to know no one else can see the word–it was driving me crazy.
