  if i removed the counter from my side bar will it still count visitors when it’s hidden ??
  or it’ll just start from the start when i put it again

  The internal stats for your blog will still be counted, but if you are using a ‘sitemeter’ or another stats program, it has to be on the page to do it’s magic!

  Yes, the counter is only a visible indicator of a process going on in the background……unless the wordpress.com counter works in some unusual way.
