The WordPress Notifications Widget supplied by WordPress does not work on iOS 8 for iPhone. Help Ple

The WordPress App for iPhone installs a WordPress Widget that appears in the Pull Down Notifications screen in iOS 8. Calendar and Weather Widget write Calendar and Weather to the Notifications screen or allow access to the Apps directly. The WordPress Widget does nothing.
How do I activate the WordPress Widget. I can get its icon to appear on the Notification screen but it does not launch or provides stats … merely says 0 traffic.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there!
You can adjust your WordPress.com notifications, so they behave as you’d like.
To do this, click on Settings → Notifications → WordPress. Select the WordPress app. Make sure that you’ve selected “Allow Notifications.”
You can adjust your configurations in this area.
Regarding your stats:
Open up your WordPress app.
Select “Me” in the botton menu. Since you have more than one site, you’ll select the site you want to view.
Under the heading, “Admin,” you’d see Stats.
Your latest stats will be fetched. Compare the Stats you see on this page to the stats you see on your computer. Since Stats are not always synched on each platform, I suggest you compare yesterday’s Stats, so you can be certain those numbers are correct.
If you see a discrepancy, please let me know exactly what it is and I can research further.
It would help me to see a screenshot of anything you’re having trouble with on your app. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
Just let me know when there’s something I should look at.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

Sorry ThatRobyn. I have monitored and poked and prodded the WordPress App, Widget and iPhone for 48 hours. The Notifications Panel Widget only shows the same Stats count and never changes even if I update Stats in the App, add and delete the widget, close and restart the app, or turn off and relaunch the iPhone. See the screen capture in my Media library titled …
WordPress Widget Failure Screen Capture
Help please.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for checking in, letting me know the status, and providing the screenshot.
That’s very helpful.
Please open your WordPress App and in the upper, right-hand corner of the Site Stats page, you’ll see “Today.”
Can you please select that, and let me know if taking that action syncs the stats correctly?
Many thanks!
