  I just started using wordpress so please ignore my ignorance but I just purchased a theme and activated it but I can’t seem to get it to come up.

  I see you purchased the Restaurant theme recently and it’s on your site right now. There are some setup steps to get it looking more like the demo on this page: https://wordpress.com/themes/restaurant/support/.
