  I am trying to change the theme of my blog, without having to delete my progress so far is that possible?

  Hello,

  Themes can be changed, in fact nearly everything should move – posts, pages, media, etc.

  If you do decide to change themes, make sure to check the following things afterwards:
  Custom Menus
  Reassign your Custom Menus to the locations you want them in the new theme. Each theme supports different locations, depending on the theme.

  Widgets
  You’ll want to place your Widgets in the proper Widget locations. Like Custom Menus, each theme supports different locations, depending on the theme.

  Custom CSS
  The only thing that would not come with you is Custom CSS, because that is theme-specific. You will find your past CSS in the CSS revisions link located at My Sites → Customize → CSS.

  You can also opt to preview a theme without activating it. Go to My Sites>Themes. Next, click on the three dots to the right of the name of the theme and then click on “Try & Customize”.
