You are posting to the wrong support forum. That site is not hosted here and we cannot help you.

We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.

Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.

Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/

Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
    http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack

However, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
    Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

I am a young geezer. I draft on MS Word and copy to new posts then edit. In early posts, quotes set up automatically now they do not. Where do I put “code em strong ul ol li” in the posts, if that is what you do?

  • Howdy!

Please share the URL of the site that you need help with. Also share a link to the post that is formatted correctly and the ones that are incorrect. I’ll be happy to take a look and see what’s going on.

    Liz,

americascrossroad.com. AMERICA’S CROSSROAD and OUR ORDAINED CONSTITUTION posts have quote format I prefer. All other do not have bar on left and different font and color. IS MARXIST PHILOSOPHY THE BASIS FOR LEFTIST IDEOLOGY? Is one example.

Thank you for quick response. I look forward for your solution.

  • Hi Mark –

Thanks for providing those examples. I see exactly what you are referring to.

Are you creating and editing your posts from /wp-admin or through your Jetpack connection with WordPress.com?

Because http://www.americscrossroad.com isn’t hosted with us I can’t edit the post for you to fix the formatting. I don’t have any access to the site, but I’ll try to find you the help you need.

    Liz,

I am not positive. I am a young geezer with a tech support package w/MS for 90% of problems w/MS applications and Windows. I do most work w/wp-admin, but I did install the free Jetpack Plugin? for that connection. I just logged into WP.com, but I do not work at that location. Which way is best and most productive.

For me, it would be easiest to find out why my MS Word post drafts load to my blog with different quote formats because I am a slow fat-finger keyboardist who uses Dragon dictation software that will not work on web based programs like WordPress and Twitter I tried.

Any help that you can give is greatly appreciated. If my how is not clear, I will try to answer other questions.

    Thank you.

    Liz,

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Going to WordPress.com has a greatly expanded Tool Bar. It sets up the Quote highlight in 2 steps.

Now all I have to do is go in and fi the rest.

    Mark

  • I’m glad to hear that you were able to work this out :)
