  Will changing my theme affect/discard my content, posts or followers?

  Changing themes will only change the appearance of your content; it won’t change the content itself, your posts or followers.

  However, your widgets may need to be repositioned after changing themes. If you find them missing, you can recover them from the inactive widgets in this dashboard: https://thearticulateblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
