Theme

I applied the gateway theme to my blog and it looks NOTHING like what it advertised. The header image is half what it should be, and rather than lining up along side one another the blog posts are stacked on top of one another. I want to know how to fix this so it looks as advertised by the Gateway theme default image.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not quite sure about the blog post problem, but for the header image you might try this. On the theme documentation site (which you can find here), the following instructions are mentioned for the header image. Please make sure the settings on your site are following these guidelines.
Custom Header Image
Abstract and decorative background images will work best as Custom Header images. The recommended header size for Gateway is 2560 pixels wide by 640 pixels high.
In the Customizer, in Theme Options → General, you can set the Header Image Display, in two different ways:
Fixed format, such that the image stays in place while the rest of the page scrolls
Scroll format, such that the image scrolls along with the rest of the page
If you choose Fixed format, the recommended header size for Gateway is 2560 pixels wide by 1000 pixels high.Note that on small screens, the image will be cropped, and not scaled down, to fit the available area.
Please let me know if this solves it!

When you’re saying that the blog posts aren’t acting to the way it is advertised, are you referring the three posts under the Welcome to Gateway header on the demo (the demo posts are called Soaking up the sun, New York through my lens and Themes for photographers)?
If you want this for your site, here are the steps to achieve this:
1 – go to your wp-admin panel (doingwhatiwill.wordpress.com/wp-admin)
2 – in the menu to the left, go to Pages > Add new. Enter a title, like Home for example.
3 – once inside the new page, check out the area on the right. There’s an area called Page Attributes. Under this, there is an option for Template. Chose the Home Page template. Click Publish in the top right corner of your screen.
4 – At the moment, it looks like you have set the blog as your front page. To get a front page just like the demo, go to Settings > Reading. At the top, where it says Front Page Displays, change it from Your latest posts to A static page. This will make sure that you’re not showing your blog posts as the first thing the visitor see when he enters your site.
5 – In the drop down menu below, select your newly created page (which I called Home earlier) for the Front page option. For Posts page, choose your blog page.Let me know if this solves it!

Sorry, forgot the last step!
6 – after you’ve done number 5, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Save Changes. Go back to doingwhatiwill.wordpress.com and see if it’s the way you want it.
