    hi just started a new site, i’m new to wordpress.
    there is a theme i found i want to use as my wordpress site, i cannot find how to install it. the tutorials online have different images than what i’m seeing on my admin page.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    First of all, Welcome to WordPress. I understand the tutorials can be different and confusing because they are mostly for self hosted sites using WordPress.ORG.

    However things are a bit different for sites hosted on WordPress.COM.

    You can find the difference between WP.com and WP.org on this page –

    And to answer your question, you cannot use custom themes on WordPress.COM but you can use a variety of themes available here –
    https://wordpress.com/themes
