    I bought the theme called ‘Pena’ through Anariel design, and didnt realise that i would need to have a premium business account to use it.
    But i saw that even with a free account on wordpress i can buy this same theme without upgrading to a premium account.
    Is there anyway of me using the Pena theme that i purchased outside of wordpress without upgrading in this instance?

    Hey cleftcharity,

    At WordPress.com, you can use a premium theme only with the Personal and Business plans.

    If you have bought it from any third party then you have a Business plan to use it.

    Free plan doesn’t provide an access to upload any theme.

    You can buy the Pena theme as a once-only payment at WordPress.com even if you are on the free plan. Upgrade to the Premium plan and you would have use of the Pena theme or any other Premium theme in the WordPress.com themes directory for no extra charge. The easiest solution would be to ask for a refund from the developer/wherever you purchased it explaining that the WordPress.org version isn’t suitable for your needs and that you need to purchase the same theme here at WordPress.com https://wordpress.com/theme/pena
