  If I purchased a theme from an outside source and wanted to use the demo that I can then edit with my contact on WordPress, how can I make my site appear like the demo when installed?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  First you would need to upgrade to the Business Plan to be able to use third party themes.
  Second: wordpress.com doesn’t give support for a third party theme, this a job for the vendor of the theme.

  You can upload a custom theme you purchased from an outside source if you have a business plan.

  how can I make my site appear like the demo when installed?

  You can then follow the instructions given for the theme and make your site looks like a theme demo.
