  This is for a class project. I’m trying to upload a theme about pastries but it won’t let me. How can i upload a theme?

  Uploading third-party themes to your WordPress.com site requires a business plan upgrade. All plans below business plan have a few limitations and uploading themes or plugins is one of them.

  Hope this clarifies why you weren’t able to upload the said theme.
