  How can I reset a theme I want to use? I can’t just create a new blog as I want to keep my current (free) URL unless I could transfer that name to a blank site.

  Hi there!

  I’m not sure what do you mean by resetting the theme. If you do not wish to use the demo page from the theme, create a new page and choose a blank template.

  You do not need to connect a custom domain to be able to publish content on your site.

  Hi, thanks for the response!

  I actually wanted to use the demo page, but had deleted it previously. So even when I try to switch to a new theme then go back to the one I wanted, it doesn’t go back to the demo pages. I can’t find the template I want from the available home page templates.

  Good Morning –

  We can look at the logs to see which themes you’ve used and then try to get it reset with the default content. I think that’s what you’re asking for.

  Please confirm which site on your account is involved as well. There are 3 different ones so we need to know that information. Thanks :)

  So it seems that you’ve been using theme Maywood before, is this the one you were looking for? https://wordpress.com/theme/maywood/

  I would actually suggest that you go directly to My Home>Add Page and use one of the templates from there. You will find there homepage templates for all new themes, you can choose one you like regardless of the theme you’re using :)
