  Can I upload a theme forest theme for free ?

  You can’t install third party themes unless you upgrade to the Business Plan – https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Hi there!

  As @staartmees explained above, you can upload third-party themes like those from themeforest with the WordPress.com Business plan. The Business plan also lets you use your own domain, install plugins to add more features to your site, and includes features such as automatic backups, security scanning, and advanced hosting features.

  If you’re not ready to upgrade yet, you can also consider using a theme from our theme gallery at https://wordpress.com/themes – You can use the free themes on a free WordPress.com site. Many of the themes there are very customizable, so you can completely change how they look. Even more customization options (like changing colors and fonts) open up with the WordPress.com Premium plan, which also gives you access to the premium themes on our theme gallery.
