Theme "Adaption": Show Author in Article?
-
I want the Author’s name in each article.
Where are the settings to provide that?
Thanks in advance for any help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @lionosys,
I’ve visited your site and the authors name does show up on the right hand sidebar. Unless, you mean you want their actual name to show up instead of their username.
In order to do that you can just go to your main dashboard -> click on ‘Users’ -> click on ‘Your Profile’ -> Then scroll all the way down until you see ‘Display name publicly as’ that is where you can change how you want your name to be shown in each post.
Hope this helps!
Best,
Bill -
The author name is not displayed in Adaption, either on single posts or on the blog. I see that you’ve added an author widget, which is a good workaround if you’d like to stick with this theme.

Hi @billh93
i’m the owner and actually the only author of the blog. But in future, the blog should be have few more authors.
What you see on the right side bar is a widget wich provides all current authors of the blog (therefore it’s only my username being shown).
But i want to have the authors name in every new post (i.e. in the header of the post).
Maybe it depends on the theme if the name is shown on top of the post?

Hello @lionosys you are correct it is the theme as @kathrynwp stated. Your best bet is to use a different theme if you want multiple author names to be shown as Adaption hasn’t been updated in the past 2 years.

Exactly. In newer themes, we have been trying to always show the author name, but give you the option of hiding it if you want to, in the Customizer’s Content Options area.
If you need any help choosing a newer theme that displays the author, just let us know.
