I’m looking for a free, portfolio-like site with images for static pages, like Spun but not posts – pages.

To clarify, I’m creating a site for a college class I’m teaching. I want an image-based front page where you hover over an image & you see the title, click on it & you go to a page, not a post. Is there any way I can set an existing template to do this?
