theme appears in the home page incomplete morning after

  I need help. I’ve chosen “morning after” as theme for my blog. everything works ok but….the home page does not show the “featured post” (box in grey with posts). I’ve left the theme options as default. it does not appear.
  I’ve tried with the widget….the “home page featured widget area” shows a new area aside and not at the bottom.
  The blog is brad new….maybe it needs time…
  May be I need to set other functions, but I don’t know which are.
