Theme-Argent – portfolio within a portfolio?

Currently using the Argent theme, I wanted to know if I was able to make a secondary portfolio page , like a child page, within a project file. For example: if I were to have exhibitions listed as a project on the front page and upon selecting it, a secondary portfolio page opened up with separate exhibitions. Is this possible with using the CSS?

It might be worth exploring the Portfolio Shortcode, for displaying your portfolio items as it gives you a bit more flexibility. You can set the shortcode, via the include_type and include_tag attributes which allow you to only show portfolio items from those.

What I’m thinking is that you show all projects on your main portfolio page, and then when you click through to the individual projects, you have images or whatever within the content of that project that are then linked to the pages where you have used the shortcode and include_tag attribute to only show projects from that particular tag.

You might want to play around with the shortcode on some draft pages to see how that might work. The Portfolio shortcode display is a bit simple in its design and layout as it is designed to work with all themes regardless of whether the theme natively support the Portfolio feature.
