Theme change
-
Hi there, I just returned to my blog which I had left untouched for a year. I thought I’d look at another theme just for a change from the Hemingway I was on, but it looks like all my blogs have gone and I don’t seem to be able to get back to my previous theme. Any help or suggestion would be great. Thank you guys!

Hi Stephanie. Loved your About post by the way. =)
But yes I’m unable to see any other post or a homepage. Have you deleted some of the pages? The thing is if you have previously moved an item to your trash folder, you can restore it within 30 days from the time the item was trashed. After 30 days the posts in trash will be automatically permanently deleted. And you mentioned that you’ve left your blog untouched for a year. read more about it here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleted-posts-and-pages/So I doubt you can get your old deleted post back. As a kind suggestions, always keep a copy of your writing saved in your computer as a backup. That way you’ll always have them with you.
If you haven’t quite started on building your website, then I suggest started everything from fresh again. Choose a new theme you like and work your way from there. You already have a great About post to begin with. Have a look at some these links to help you:

Hi there,
Are you speaking of https://thefrenchidler.wordpress.com/?
When you switch to one of our newer themes, the default front page for that theme is automatically activated on your site, and any existing front page you had set is switched to draft.
Go to My Site ->Site ->Pages and re-publish your actual front page. Then go to the Customizer ->Homepage settings, and set that page as the front page again.
Your blog posts are all still on your News page at https://thefrenchidler.wordpress.com/news/, but your new theme doesn’t have a default menu, so there’s no link to that page. You can add a menu to the theme by creating a custom menu:
To switch back to the Hemingway-rewritten theme you had before, go to My Site ->Design ->Themes, and search for the theme there. You can also reactivate it by going directly to the showcase page for that theme at https://wordpress.com/theme/hemingway-rewritten
