Theme changes won't save?

    I uploaded a theme (monospace) from mythemeshop.com, but any appearance changes I try to make do not save. For instance, trying to change the background is impossible. I click for a new background and then save changes and the background doesn’t chnge nor does it show that I chose a new background.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Third party themes are only usable on self-hosted WordPress.org sites.

    If you’re referring to your site, emergingpineapple.wordpress.com / emergingpineapple.com, this is not a self-hosted site. It’s a WordPress.com-hosted site.

    Third party themes cannot be installed on WordPress.com sites. This is a security risk as we cannot vet all outside code and it puts our users, their sites, and our servers at risk.

    I know the difference between .com and .org can get confusing, so here’s a breakdown of the benefits of each:

    If you plan to host and manage your site at WordPress.com, you can install one of our 280+ free and premium themes:

    So I pointed it to Bluehost today. And it will be hosted through that site. While I wait for that to finish processing does that mean I can’t make any changes to it in the meantime?

    Also, I’ve been using the temporary website that bluehost provided for me to use in the time that it takes for the transfer of host to occur. The icon that shows in the URL box is Bluehost’s.

    Actually, you domain is now pointing to your Bluehost site. When I visit emergingpineapple.com, I am directed to your self-hosted version of WordPress.org. If you’re not seeing this, you can clear your browser’s cache, and then take another look.

    You should be able to log into your administrative dashboard at Bluehost to make your adjustments now:
    emergingpineapple.com/wp-admin

    Any changes made here to your theme at WordPress.com will not appear on your self-hosted site.
