Theme changing

  I feel like I’m missing something here.

  – I’ve signed into my admin area.

  – I’ve found a perfect theme online and downloaded a .zip file

  – How on earth do I upload and select it. Everything online mentions needing hosting regardless of whether you use an FTP client or any other way.

  So without doing anything else than sign up for a WP account, is it possible to upload a .zip theme?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there. You can’t use themes you downloaded somewhere else with a WordPress.com blog. The ONLY themes we can use are the ones listed in the theme directory, here: https://wordpress.com/themes/

  The theme you downloaded can only be used with a self-hosted WordPress.ORG installation. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different.
